Being part of the EU

If you were asked what things would you be able to tell about the European Union, how many could you state? As a Spanish citizen, being Spain one of the 28 countries which set the European Union, it is quite embarrassing being asked this question and have no idea about what to say apart from something about the common currency, not for all countries, and the possibilities to cross borders, not in all cases. It is interesting to do little research about these advantages the EU offers and what benefits can we get from these if we are living in a member-country. It is complicated, and maybe not so important, to learn or try to make a difference between the large list of organizations that form up the European Union. However, it is useful to be updated about things regarding to health, economy, education, working… What is evident is that many people are working for our welfare and to improve Europeans’ conditions day after day. The best thing we can do is to take care of these advantages and enjoy what we, as European citizens, have been given.
